The Rise of Non-Invasive Procedures

By Brentz Walker

Patients who choose non-invasive procedures has gone up in recent times, statistics have shown. Tummy tucks are still popular, as well as breast augmentations, but less invasive procedures are becoming more widely accepted. Injections or laser treatments are how most of the non-invasive type of procedures are administered. The reason for the shift is due to many factors.

You have two choices with cosmetic surgery. Staying inside for the healing process is an option. Or, your second option is that someone you know will see you in the healing process with a bruise, a bandage or some other sign. Secrecy is not really a practical option here.

When a non-invasive procedure is done with expert care, usually no one can notice it afterward. People will often not know what it is, but will be able to tell that you look better in some way. To have the procedure be less noticeable, using a non-invasive option like this is advised.

Because we lead busy lives, private time to recover isn't available sometimes. The idea that you can schedule a non-invasive procedure on a Friday afternoon and return to work on Monday is extremely appealing. When other options in the cosmetic surgery world are considered, a non-invasive process is clearly a great choice for many. Women or men can go and have a Botox treatment in the time off for lunch break, this makes is a popular choice. It's much easier to heal over the weekend from laser treatment than to have to schedule time off of work in order to recover from a more intensive cosmetic surgery.

One can not have any procedure done without a measure of risk, even if it's tiny. Of the risks involved, the largest is with the general anesthesia that is used. In some cases, an adverse reaction can occur that can possibly be serious. Waivers need to be signed when this is used. Instead, many patients are opting for simple, in-office procedures that are non-invasive and do not use general anesthesia are considerably safer.

The recent slowdown in the economy has had a negative impact on major cosmetic surgeries and at the same time, non-invasive procedures have been steadily increasing. Simply put, non-invasive procedures cost less. In most cases, a health plan will not pay for a cosmetic procedure; as these are elective surgeries. Many people need to save up for a procedure and, when the economy is tight, they may feel more comfortable setting that money aside for other needs.

On the other hand, having a non-invasive procedure will cost much less. The results of 10 minutes of Botox can make a patient just as happy as a face lift, but for much less money. Non-invasive procedures are a great, inexpensive solution in a tough economy.

Non-invasive procedures can be every bit as noticeable as the expensive surgical options. Having a procedure such as these is the result of a desire to look more youthful and to be more attractive. Whether you want to erase that frown line on your forehead or just add a little extra hair up there, non-invasive procedures can provide wonderful results. Non-invasive procedures require much less risk, no general anesthesia, and can be performed in as little as 10 minutes. The patient is able to immediately return to their place of employment typically. The idea of achieving comparable results for less money, less downtime and less risk is appealing on so many levels to so many people. These are some of the reasons that non-invasive procedures are on the rise at this time.
